Prevelo Bikes was founded in 2016 by its creator, Jacob Rheuban, a father of two boys and self-professed kids' bike geek from California, USA.  Jacob was frustrated with the design of kids' bikes, even in the middle to high-end market.

At Prevelo, their mission is simple - to make bikes for kids that are as confidence-inspiring and fun to ride as possible.  All Prevelo bikes are 100% engineered for kids from the beginning.

Prevelo bikes feature exceptionally low minimum seat heights, low bottom brackets, optimised crank lengths, and narrow Q-factors.  This enhanced frame geometry places the rider close to the ground, inspiring confidence, and making learning easier and cycling better.

Prevelo continues to push the limits of what's possible on a child's bike.  In 2018, Prevelo released the first ever purpose-built 14" and 16" trail bikes, the Zulu One and Zulu Two.  Both have progressive-slack mountain bike geometry and hydraulic disc brakes.

The Zulu Two HEIR adds the world's first purpose-built 16" air suspension fork, the HEIR 16.  It was awarded the Gold A'Design Award from the International Design Academy.
